Cory was predictable

Norman Flagtea

Cory was predictable

he was the shiniest boy in town

captain of the football team

sand coloured hair

he owned a Fender electric guitar

and frequently borrowed

his older brother's pick- up truck

everybody loved him

and he was loveable

he meant well

and went through three girl friends

each summer

he broke their hearts

without even knowing it

in later years

he lived in Dayton/ Ohio

running a small computer outfit

and went fishing

with a certain Larry

he still had girl friends

but his sand coloured hair

had gray streaks

and he couldn't understand

how he had got there
