LONE ANGEL

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A lone angel weeps
Head bowed in deep pain
Sorrow a canopy
From which falls the rain.

Fingers of lightning
Reach from the sky
The thunder roars loudly
Rumbling up high.

A single tear falls
Glistening and bright
From ancient eyes
An eternal night.

Wings now unfurl
But unable to fly
The wound is too deep
Distant the sky.
