WHERE ARE THE JOKES?

fikrioshin

There are stars and rainbows above the stores,
Candles lighted up in front of different doors,
Smokes and old folks are on these floors,
The cigars and the jokes, they are all yours.

..Walking these floors, fills my heart with joy, no sense in acting coy, the smiles on their elderly faces makes me feel like a little boy, who’s expecting a new toy.

Looking back at my youth
The jokes were sad
Although they brought laughter
The messages mad
Back then I was caught up
In sex, drugs, rock and roll
And all of the humour
Wafted into my soul
But now it is different
Like a child I see
The jokes and the laughter
From being set free.
