In My Mind

SHELLY

When I sit in solitude

My mind goes to work

In this crazy altitude

Many shadows lurk

Negative thoughts jump merrily

Fear skips along and play

False scenarios frolic jubilantly

Commotion rolls my way

My head and heart connects

Intertwining feelings and fear

Afraid they will be rejects

And I lash out so unfair

I hurt what I care for

Destroying it most vehemently

Now my mind and heart is sore

Because I destroyed them completely
