Longevity

Accidental Poet

I’ve heard it said

That nothing lasts forever

But I’ve also heard it said

Never say never

So, in some cases

That may be true

I’m inclined to think

It all depends on you

On who you are

And your life’s beliefs

All your backroads

Goals to bring relief

And true, we’re all unique

All on our own life path

Searching for something

Our own answers to life’s math

For me

It’s all about love

Something to believe in

From Heavenly stars above

If in your heart Sharon

Longevity stands for something

Then your smile will live in me

My love for you everlasting

I never knew it all depends on me (stanza 2) - if you call me Sharon, that is! heehee.

    • Accidental Poet

But Orchi, I didn't call you Sharon. I could call you Shnookums like KP. 😘

Aghh, not Shnookums. She says it as she purses her lips - like a trout - to kiss! A ghastly sight. lol.
