Magnificient

 

Lord God you are magnificient,

worthy to be praised from the days of ancient,

to the times we live in now and forever

your word works to manifest your light.

 

Your pure, giving love made you choose to send,

your Son Jesus on whom we can depend,

not only for provision but also to defend,

our pure faith in Him as Saviour, Lord and friend.

 

You are magnificient in all your ways,

and grace to believe this all our days,

you give generously to the one who in faith prays,

and receives to your glory and praise.

 

Thank you for your magnificient Holy Spirit,

whom the Lord sent not just for a visit,

but to stay with the believer as one dearest,

whose manifest presence is explicit.
