CRUEL BREEZE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

When shadows fall
Upon this day
In memory burnt
Alas to say.

Heavy eyed
Circled..swollen
Tears which fell
Words unspoken.

The roses petals
Dried to dust
Moments slaughtered
Hours haunted.

Leaves in flight
Upon a cruel breeze
Forlorn to death
Fall from trees.

Upon quiet footfall
Once to tread
I see your thoughts
In my own head.
