Locked In

Introverted Sage

And you see..
That's what happens when you go too fast.
That's what happens when you let greed cloud your sight.
That's what happens when you see only darkness.
Lead astray - yet, you knew the way.
Tried your luck - wanted to play.
Silly fantasies - slapped back in your face.
Can't backtrack on self stoked hate.
What could have been so great.
Yet, it's only your choices that choose your date.
Beds are more cozy when you make them your home.
Destroy a life - ended up being your own.
Should have known better - after all you were shown.
Clock is ticking, the Great Birds have flown.

7 or 8 which one seals fate?
Revolving four - power playing on the floor.
And you still want more?
No satisfaction after 77 whores?
Confused? No, I'm bored.
Message said what was in store.
Blessings come when closing doors.

There will be days like this.

Our choices do determine our fate true; with guidance from above; we’ll never be lead astray. Beautifully written!
