The Child

peet

A stumble or a fall,
to not, stop or to stall.
head held high, and walking tall
walk the path, not short nor small.

A dusty road, he would see
The storm, the tempest, will come to be.
The calm, the peace, will not be easy,
the path, that showed no mercy.

Pain and tears, at every step
freinds and joy, seldom to pep.
weary at times, stop to rest,
only to walk again, to do his best.

To search, to fight, find he must,
belief and courage, he must trust.
agony and hate, he must leave,
truth and courage, he must beleive.

fade the child, once alive,
forgotten, in a tussle to survive.
innocence lost, so pure so true,
the dream, the hope, he always knew.

He was a child, with a tiny dream,
innocense, it would seem,
Now he knew, what lay beneath,
It was the sword, and, not the sheath.

"Now he knew, what lay beneath,
It was the sword, and, not the sheath"

delivered one helluva coup de grace

Thanks Neville. It is the moment of realization that matters that world is not a straight place.
