The Dance of Death

Sethu

To dance so close with death

Is to feel the thrill of life

To flirt with the final breath

Is to cut the edge of a knife

To seek the end of pain

Is to chase a fleeting dream

To embrace the dark and vain

Is to miss the light and gleam

To think that life is meaningless

Is to ignore the beauty and grace

To give up on the hope and bliss

Is to waste the gift and space

To dance so close with death

Is to risk the loss of all

To flirt with the final breath

Is to heed the siren's call
