Into Your Eyes

Tigiguy2013

As I gaze into your eyes,
I witness the hopes and dreams of a young lad,
The innocence within them, undiminished by time.

As I gaze into your eyes,
A fire and passion burn ever bright,
I watch you grow, uncertain of what the future holds.

As I gaze into your eyes,
Values you uphold, preserving warmth in your heart,
I see that twinkle, hoping never to witness you cry.

As I gaze into your eyes,
Time marches on, yet you cling to,
A life different from what you had envisioned.

As I gaze into your eyes,
The once fiery spark begins to fade,
Yet, even as it dims, you navigate your way.

As I gaze into your eyes,
I see a man whom I adore,
A pure heart enduring as ever before.

As I gaze into your eyes,
You smile, leaving me in ponder,
You claim weariness, and I wonder why.

As I gaze into your eyes,
Once ablaze with passion and life,
They settle, dimming down.

As I gaze into your eyes,
You meet my gaze, offering that once radiant smile,
And say, "It's time to go."

As I gaze into your eyes,
You reveal words long kept,
"You see, your eyes, so lovely, all you've been through,
In our gaze, I found a love beyond compare.
Though mine now fade, believe this to be true,
I am joyous, looking at you.

When I gaze into your eyes, it's not goodbye,
Just a moment's rest, for both you and I.
As we rest, the fire within us will burn brighter once more."
