The Wind And The Willow

mtrotter1

Let us reminisce

In this dying revelry--

My love, my lost, my friend;

Is there ever a beginning to an end?

For most skies cover my house

Yet there is a dying light

Do I feel incomplete or no?

As the horses run wild across the land

So what am I free for?

I have no reckoned stance

For let our shadows be brave

In the wind,

Oh the wind is lonely in the night

And the willow weeps of cheer

Does my heart not gasp for you

In the midst of my clear?

Or does the home on the street

defer?

Oh these casting lies tell no truth

I can hardly wait for the outcome...

Am I out of my mind

Or out of a dime?

I trust that love will despair

For the wind and the willow

Dance across my hair,

Am I ill-fated

Or just a weeping willow?

Oh to hell with the trees.

Thank you orchidee. Your comment put a smile on my face, plus I giggled a little. This made my morning. Thanks.
