The Girl I know

Evelin Angel

The girl I know

We are family

But we know each other

From our child hood

There was a gap in-between year

Lost all the contacts

Dint want to talk to them too

One fine day it happens

Told that the eldest daughter is …

Coming to our home

Without interest, invited her with hesitation

As she came, I was shock

Oh, what a thin structure

Saw her before, like a chubby

Fairly fairy with long curly hair

Now she is like a starving thin cat

Seeing her I was shocked

Shapeless and fragile and down

Her hand was trembling of weakness

Yet she fights her survival battle

First, I greeted her with Milk

She was so happy to get the milk

Because she hadn’t had milk for long time

Then I started to interrogate

About her errands and livelihood

It was a very sad past

Hearing that I decided to keep her

In my home for few days to

Boost her spirits

Whenever I go kitchen, she’ll be behind me

Which means I understand her

That she has to be feed

With nutritious food

So, I give her whatever she wants to gulp

She uses to barge me to have

Whatever she wanted to eat and for her siblings

Like a small champ her unceasing chatter

Made me to treat her as child.

Her face saying that her life is a

Storm that never ends…

She blabbered about her mother

Her father and about her sisters

I don’t know being the first child

How much agony and ill treatment

Happened to her unimaginable life

Often, she gets unending rings on her phone

At once she gets the ring, she’ll fly like a bird

To some other place and chatter like a chatter box

No one can hear her speech on the phone

I am still astonished that how quiet she is speaking.

Whenever she’s idle I boost her up saying ….

The world is not ended, still time and energy left

Go fetch a job that she can do

But for my surprise her expectation was high

I never expected from her

Yet I wandered with her to find a job

She was passioned about stitching

I found a place to learn Stitching and she loved it

She had complained lot of things about me to

The tailor teacher. I dint bothered

I was little bit angry when I heard the grumpiness

She has a sister

And she is so so sick

She always complains about her

I hate her when she take her phone

Always keep talking

I don’t understand what she talks

Talks to her boyfriend

Friends and family

We use to go for stitching classes

We use to walk together

If I am taking her, I should be pocket full.

Her agony her grief her frustrations

Everything was about her marriage

Always was talked about that

Not even a single day stop talking about her marriage

she blabbered, lamented, frustrated etc.…..

One fine day I was annoyed hearing this type of

Blabbering and lamenting …. I told her to stop

Discussing about her marriage

It will be done in its right time.

Time will give the solutions for all the problem

Then she started crying

All of a sudden, she became a new girl

Entirely different person

All her countenance changed

Her thinking and perceptions towards me also changed

No one can give a comfortable life without hard work

We wander to find her job

But couldn’t get according to her standards

Heavy dissappontment ……

I kept boosting her

Encouraging to focus on what she needs to do

Focus on the purpose of life

In a fine day she decided to leave home

Its her decision, no one can say anything

She left.

After few days she barged my husband

To help her in her marriage

She got married to a person who

She chooses for her

Settled down in her home town.

Seeing her I think about the old girl

Who came to our house.

Now she is the queen of her world.
