The Midnight Winds

Hali

Where the branches of evergreens dance in the tide
The midnight winds rattle the cliffs,
Carrying drones from a cave
Where she plays by candlelight.

Deep into the night they roam -
Across oceans, through fields and trees.
They find me sleeping far from that place
And whisper what could have been.
