A Silent Response

Sarcastic_poems

Nothingness was the reply I got

When I asked how they felt, a simple thought

My heart sank as they spoke

Their words so plain, so cold, no joke

"Why?" I asked, so confused

Their faces, so pale and unused

They had left this life long ago

Their response was buried deep below

Silence, the only response I received

Their words lost, never to be retrieved

Left with unanswered questions, I mourn

As I stand before their dark, gloomy bourn.
