Burdens

Natalie Heisey

Within myself  I feel my own weight, A deep burden hidden, a heart in a desolate state. Tears held captive, love's flame has  extinguished, the Trust all shattered, leaving wounds that can't be relinquished.

My loud voice, became a  whisper lost in the wind, An unnoticed ghost, longing to be pinned. My  Feelings go ignored, dismissed with disdain, But I won't let my heartache feel shamed or go in vain.

These burdens  I bear, it suffocates and oppresses, Yet I'll rise from the ashes, defy life's suppressions. Feeling the pain, I will find my own strength For in vulnerability, I'll discover what is real  and what is fake.

In my lonely self ill forge this  path of my own, and  Unveiling love's complexities, seeds yet need to be sown. I will Not stay silenced, my battles I'll always  face, Creating a world where hearts find its place.
