Muffled echoes of your voice,
Fall shy of my ear’s drum,
While your coldening flesh,
Remains just out of reach,
Of my aching, yearning fingers.
I’m dehydrated and thirsting…
Thirsting for the experience of you,
But, it remains forever locked-Inside
My ward of our memories,
That pulses through each second.
Your presence seems so near…
That my hair fibers start raising,
My nerve cells start jumping.
But it fails to permeate my brain
Fails to create the cascade I crave
I can almost sense your essence,
But it’s starting to fade and obscure.
So, with a mouth full left to say,
I’m dehydrating and thirsting,
Unable to swallow your memory.
