Understanding Love?

Serene

I've often wondered, What's this love all about?
I can't help but think of you on my drive throughout.
Arriving in advance, waiting in eager anticipation,
As I see you, butterflies dance in my stomach. What is this delightful sensation?

A warmth surrounds me in your presence near,
And Bliss fills my heart with your words I hear.
Sunkissed honey eyes, a gaze I can't ignore,
Words from you bring life, like a sea to the shore.

Not merely your presence, but the mere thought of you,
Not your looks, but the aura that’s shines through.
Not your height, but the standards you uphold,
And your self-worth triumphs over any glittering gold.

It's not your bike or car, but your resilience to strive,
Not your dressing style, but the lifestyle you vibe.
Not just your words, but your actions that speak,
Your smile is sweet, but so is your ability to feel and weep.

And not your aggression to win, but your patience to withstand,
You're not just who you are, but how you make me feel and understand.
A new life has awakened within me,
Capturing you or love in words? Nah, it's impossible, as how it should be.

I love how you ended it with a bit of a paradox...
...And here I was hoping someone found an answer to what love is!
    ...as it should be!

    Relatable, delightful

If we understood it we might ruin it trying to copy or fix it! For a minute I was afraid you figured it out... good to know you failed but I enjoyed reading your analysis!
