imagine
if all the souls
of our long departed
lit up the pine forest
at night like fire flies
in love
chasing
winking and blinking
beckoning us to their party
having a ball
while we
in wide eyed wonder
in silence and gratitude
watch in awe
a taste of timeless
of heaven’s potential
on the scent of
lasting pine

I love the scent of pine, what could be better to remember our loved ones than wandering through a memor forest full of it. This poem is so very touching, and beautiful.
Many thanks Bella for your lovely comment and visit. I appreciate you stopping by.

Thank you Tom. So pleased you enjoyed my words. All the best.
A wonderful poem about remembering our loved ones. How I wish I could be with them again. And I know they are with me all the time. But where I could see and feel their presence. 😉👍
Thank you AP for a lovely review. I share your thoughts entirely. Pleased you stopped by.
Oh so much to love about this of course your imagery took me to visit all my loved ones and today would have been my mother's birthday. Beautiful poetic heart you do have dear Cassie58 it's such a pleasure to read your gorgeous lines. Thank you. ❤️
Dear Teddy, thank you for a beautiful review. I expect your mum will be on your mind all day today. I always light a candle on anniversary days. The extra light helps. So pleased you enjoyed my poem. 🌹
Maybe Fireflies are reflations of those who came before. Wonderful poem.
Thank you for your lovely response John. Have a good weekend.
Now wouldn't that be a thing ..
I doubt we would be able to take our eyes away from such a sight .. the scent of pine is but one of mother natures gifts to our noses, isn't it ... Neville
Thank you Neville for your nice review, my response better late than never. It would be a wonderful sight, I agree and the scent of pine would be heavenly.
Powerful and vivid use of the senses.
