Spoken

Introverted Sage

Close to the top then fall back down.
Hit every stop then kiss the ground.
Ready to yell - can't make a sound.
Darkness sending clouds to my town.

Fools shriek where cowards play.
Leeches breed - where dogs lay.
Invite them in, must want to stay.
Black and white fade into gray.

Up the mountain - then in the cave.
Facing first the darkest days.
Mind plays tricks make it behave.
Reflected back the gift was prayed.

Down the hill into the creek.
Pebbles from the low and meek.
Golden nuggets for which we seek.
When from your heart you may speak.
