Meaning behind the rhymes

Why do songs rhyme?

Another word, another line

Words don’t mean a thing

But lyrics are everything

“Oh well they have meaning.”

Oh yea? Which ones? The words that I mean and that I’m just saying, or, the words you wanna hear without listening?

When I say “sorry” I mean it along with sorrow

I try to help but I’ll be the bad guy tomorrow.

I have a question, would you like to hear the lies in different lines and rhymes with meaning? Or, would you rather me be truthful and have a meaning, but you don’t listen and the only person’s life wouldn’t lie be mine? Which one is going and staying?
