Falling

emmylinnea

I fall.

The concrete hits me hard as I feel the air leave my lungs, it went so fast. The ground feels warm, almost comforting at first glance. But it hurts me. My elbows are scraped, bloody, and my head is pounding. Slowly, I crawl, climb, but gravity is pulling me, trying to hold me back. I push with all my might and feel my muscles beginning to ache. I pull free.

I fall again. Maybe this time you will catch me.
