Silenced

John

I woke up sucking on a pacifier

It was a nightmare I'd suffered for ten years

Lakeside the sandflies sucked my blood and it was a relief

As placid waves lapped the shore I walked the outskirts ignored

The hills were miles away, but I felt I was climbing them

My initial steps tripped in the aroma of your bliss

Your eternal Sunshine was the moon at midnight

A light that only shone in darkness
