Permanence is so-

permanent. 

Forever, everlasting, how can I not hear your breath again. 

Permanence is too long of a forever. 

Forever is an excruciating amount of time to go on without you. 

Forever is a long time to try and erase the imprint you left in my bed. 

This forever is too permanent without you. 

Tell me you're coming back as a better man-

I’ll choose to believe I can keep your shirts in my closet,

and your voice in my head. 

So as to not accept this forever without you.
