I'm drawn to you like a balloon
Floating in the sky for all eternity
I find myself confused
By something I've never known before
I trust you in complete solitude
Yet I don't know your name,
Yet I don't really need to know your name,
do I?
We looked at The Ogden
And thought to ourselves...
What would it be like to live there?
And then we both laughed
And had another drink
of the vodka that was instilled
within us
You are a terrible liar, you are
As the alcohol makes our skin glow
In this desert sun
You told me you would take advantage of me
But only with your eyes,
How dare you undress me with those beady
eyes
When you don't even know me?
Oh I feel so violated in this sun
The sun that is so depressing and blythe;
Blythe as a strung out ballerina
on her last dance
And I am the black swan
And you are the black crow
Dying to seek for a revelation
Oh Las Vegas, why must you take
advantage of me?
This stranger that endures my presence
Broke my balloon
In the eternal sky;
And it is kind of fun
To be drawn to someone
Less holy than I've expected
And he was the stranger
That wanted to take advantage of me
But couldn't,
Because my angels are a very strong team
And God is always with me
For Las Vegas is not a town for saints,
It is a town for the misfortunate;
And all that gleams
In the eyes of the less holy
Are the gleams of misfortune.
Please give my rose back to me, please
For I want to be holy again.
