It's My Birthday

mtrotter1

Let roses be roses,

But let me be me;

For I am queen for the day

As I sit on my throne,

And I don't want to offend the narcissists

But I choose myself

Oh carry me God

In the sky

Way up high,

And today I have boundaries

That set the bar

Behold the birthday cake

That is forever tall

Like the Tower of Pisa

And forevermore,

Eternity give me my flowers

And let me be...

I pray my 41st birthday

Will be full of wishes,

I hope I won't have

To do the dishes--

Oh birthday kisses,

Kiss me all over

My great beautiful face...

Will these dying roses be alive again?

    Happy Birthday M!
Ahh, UK and USA date format are the same for this day: 2.2.
    In UK it's date-month-year.
    In USA it's month-date-year.
