Company

Not

There's a squeak squeaking around the floor,

a chirp chirping bouncing from the window to the door,

a chit chittering, a flap flapping, and bat batting somewhere above where I snore

but don't worry, there's no strangers here

It's just a mouse scurrying under the boards,

a bird in their nest singing their songy chords,

and a bat in the attic, keeping me company while I do the chores
