Affinity Boosts

The Dreamer

Heavy breathing, a quarrel in vain,

Miscommunication, an argument of pain,

Lack of common ground, for views they clashed,

Trying to win, past arguments they flashed,

Reaching disagreement, abandoning the site,

Still full of anger, ignoring the plight,

Regretting the words, realizing the lapse,

Struck by fears, listing, the "perhaps",

Clouds of guilt, shrouding the heart,

Clogging the rays, prolonging the phase,

Make it rain, clearing the head,

Calming the desert, reminisce joys well felt,

Trapped in a delimma, approach or wait?

Ignore consequences, apologise, leave to fate,

Stop overthinking, just give it some time,

Don't let love fade, diamond's beneath the grime,

Keep Faith, it'll all be alright,

Wait patiently, just trust the wright,

The water might be cold now, but will get sublime,

Just give it some time, just give it some time...

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hello there! Hope y'all are doing great. Wrote this one recently after having an argument with someone close, though the good news is that it's great between us now. Here, "wright" is indicating "the maker", also i chose "Affinity Boosts" as the title cause i really believe that arguments actually bring us closer and increases our understanding of each other. Keep reading and take care 😁
