Trust

Mutt

They say I should trust you

that it was better for me

But how is it better to know

because of you I forever am unclean

You ripped me open

and took only what you want

you stripped me of my innocence

and you left me to rot

I told you I wasn’t a toy

I begged you to leave

but i guess truly in the end

I knew they were pointless pleas

You took full advantage

you used your words to bend my mind

And now I am mindless to you

As well as the rest of your kind

I was only a child

I wasn’t yours to break

I was promised your protection

I should’ve know that it was fake

But they all still say

That I should forgive and forget

But how does one overlook their past

when their abusers feel no regret?
