Sunday

Bencity

There are times for goodbyes —
then there is now,
when the cracking ice tells of spring,
and twilight of long nights ahead,
changing winds of new courses.

These are times to keep insight—
to hold and to watch,
to keep at arm’s length,
you might blink: only once,
And lo! never have it again.
