I know the feeling all too well,
The scent of gas being lit.
Some say that it’s cruel,
But I think it’s a necessary evil.
The sound of your sobs is like a lovely symphony.
I feel no remorse for my actions.
I know you won’t leave me,
Your conscience is too guilty for that.
You beat yourself black and blue over the words I say;
The words that hold no weight,
Yet to you, they are everything.
You call it crazy; I call it tough love.
It’s not like I’m hurting you,
You have it easy, knowing I’d never lay a hand on you.
How dare you say it’s ‘abuse’.
Do you know how selfish that is?
Do you know how much I’ve sacrificed for you?
You owe me.
You can’t leave me,
No one else will ever love you as much as I do.
You are nothing.
You should be thanking me for even paying attention to you.
But I love you, you are my everything;
You know that, right?
