Love is not Perfect

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

There is no such thing as a perfect love. Unless it comes from Almighty above. There’s no such thing as a perfect man. This is something we as women must understand. There will always be trials and tribulations. It’s how your man stands by you in those storms that makes it worth staying. There is no such thing as the perfect woman; we make mistakes too; for we are only human. It’s how she respects you how she loves you deeply. This will show you time and time again that she is yours completely. How he protects you and helps you feel safe; in his arms there’s no better place. How she cooks you a home cooked meal; the love in her eyes you can almost feel. There’s no perfect love for it’s an up and down twisted ride; it’s staying together even when the tide is high.

  • Comment from author about the poem: 🍀 I’m definitely no expert; just see things in a better light now. No one is perfect. Our strengths and weaknesses make us who we are and someone who can accept you as you are; knowing you’re doing your best to be a better man or woman? That’s worth keeping. Love doesn’t mold you into being someone else; it does help us be a better version of ourselves.

This is beautiful. The grace it bestows between the two that forgive the imperfections is what makes imperfect love, perfect. Perfectly done!
