Oh So Tired

emptythoughts

Oh so tired of putting on a fake smile to get ready every day.

Oh so tired of fake people pretending they care, just to leave me in tears as they walk away.

Oh so tired of the fake news telling me who to blame for every mistake.

Oh so tired of this marcid life, taking my happiness with every breath.

Oh so tired I am, although I slept quite well.

This tiredness is in my soul.

I’m losing my mind like a bouquet loses petals; all too quickly I suppose.

I have done what needs to be done.

Seen what I want to see.

So what’s left in this world for a tired poet such as thee?

No one knows the answer, so pray for me I guess.

I’m just a tired poet who hasn’t a clue what comes next.
