In Defense of Artistic Freedom

GeekSusie

Why follow, if each post is a thorn in your side?

Half my world offends, yet in my digital realm you reside.

Nudes, I post, but it's not just skin that's bared,

Famous art, provocative shots, souls laid bare, truths dared.

These pieces, some with nudity, some purely bold,

Yet you choose to ignore the stories they've told.

It's like a wish to bury the past, to deny its breath,

To pretend history's whispers don't echo in death.

Heads buried deep, not in sand, but in self,

Ignoring the beauty, the lessons, artistic wealth.

If my expression is a blade that cuts your calm,

Then choose to leave, without qualm.

Return to your safe harbors, your shows replayed,

Where the familiar soothes, where light doesn't fade.

'The Office' and its kin, a comforting clutch,

Far from art that makes you protest too much.

If this raw honesty offends, please, take your leave,

In my world of art and soul, I don't deceive.

I'll keep painting worlds in words and in shots,

For those who see beauty in these provocative plots.
