I Can't Let Go

justamerewoman

These tears fall for you

Are you worth it?

The physical pain I feel when I try to face reality,

Only damages me more.

You’re everything I’ve ever wanted

I could’ve had it all

Voluntarily I cut you off,

Who am I to grieve?

Like I’m missing out

On a one of a kind love

Which truly doesn’t exist

My imagination, a gift

Actively works against me

As my body retches to grasp onto

Your faint presence

I cant let go.

Why does love treat us like that, the ability not to move on as well as we would like, which is summed up beautifully in your poem

Thank you for your kind words, unfortunately love can either be the best or worst thing, who's worth the risk?

      • Hugh

True, but love whether good or bad is one of the things that make us human, we can't really appreciate good love, i believe until we have had love that has gone wrong
