Glimmers in the Dark

Cloie

In the dark, where vibes are low-key,
Connected with darkness, we do feel free.
Embracing shadows, we find our groove,
In the depths of night, we make our move.

No need for filters or fake smiles,
In the realm of darkness, we walk for miles.
Lost in the music, feeling alive,
In the heart of the night, we truly thrive.

We groove with the stars, and sway with the moon,
In the world of darkness, we're in tune.
Connected with shadows, we find our spark,
Living life fully, even when it's dark.

The poem captures my journey of overcoming that fear and embracing darkness as a source of freedom and authenticity. Instead of feeling constrained by the darkness, I now find comfort and liberation in it. The darkness has become a space where I can fully express myself and experience life to the fullest. By connecting with the stars and the moon, I feel a profound sense of unity with the night, and I've discovered a newfound spark within myself. Ultimately, this poem reflects my personal growth and transformation, as I've learned to live life fully, even in the darkest of times.

Argh! Turn the light on! I just fell over a black cat in a coal cellar at midnight - now that's pretty dark! lol.

I have never been afraid of the dark, so well done for overcoming it. I have been a star gazer for as long as I can remember., so the night sky brings peace, quiet and beauty to me. Nice imagery here Cloie.

A great contrast is shown here. Light could be knowledge and dark ignorance, this is a masonic element where the east is equated with light and West with death while the north is the place of ignorance and yet from it knowledge comes. All things have their opposite. There is comfort in ignorance as the old saying goes Ignorance is bliss. But literally I too find comfort in the dark. Lovely

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on my poem! I'm glad you found the contrast meaningful, and I love how you connected it to Masonic symbolism. It's always interesting to see different perspectives enriching the interpretation of a piece.
