Gone

Katdream

a spectral presence fills my consciousness
what reliquary confines the decay that once was you?
now lost in the void, the emptiness of passing
your corporeal shell left derelict, deserted

does no one hear my weeping?
trapped in my self-inflicted purgatory
coldly condemned by my impetuosity
sentence pronounced; incarceration begun

madness seeps through the mind’s mists
searching for a host to lay waste
karmic energies spewed by a begrudging universe
leave me lest I slumber by my own hand
