Yesterday's Harmony

Thenisse Rosed

In every strum of a sorrowful song,

Along with its echoes, that set my memories awake.

In my rhythm of life, so sweet and long,

That often reminisces about my heartache’s bitter quake.

The harmony of yesterday, they play,

Revealing the veiled shadows of self-doubt’s hand,

In the darkness of loss, where faith went astray,

A love for myself I failed to understand.

Yet in this bitter taste, a newly born lesson lies,

A scar that will remain forever in my mind

A testament to where my spirit flies,

In search of light that I may leave behind.

The harmony of music supports the story of my heart.

In every note, it resembles the soul of a fresh start.
