Seashells on the sea shore

Hugh

You cant dance, the pebbles slide under your feet
As you sway to a tune inside your head
I hear you laugh over the sound of the sea
Arms stretched out wide and stumbling
The movement more important than the dance
As you enjoy the moment, the feeling of being free

You smile at me and whisper I love you
I can hear it so clearly
Getting to my feet I come over and take your hand
We start to dance together, loosing step and laughing
This time is just for us
The moment and movement where nothing is planned

These are the days that make our memories
And picture that moment as a treasure
That in duller days bring back a smile
And the taste of the sea appears
Along with the scents and sounds
That remain after all this while
