The Dark Talent

The Dark Talent

The courage to follow,

A rare guest knocking

At midnight's hollow door,

Turns the key towards

Talents skulking in shadows.

To dark places it leads,

Where dusty spotlights

Illumine only the brave,

Their gifts unfurling

Like a deck of tarot cards.

Everyone holds a hand,

But not all play the game,

Fearful of the fortune teller's grin,

And the long walk back

Alone under a mocking moon.
