“I forgive you,” She said but I knew she didn’t mean it.
Maybe she said it for closure for herself.
Maybe she said it because she knew that’s what I needed to move on.
But I knew she didn’t mean it, I mean how could she?
Do I deserve forgiveness? After all that I put her through.
Is it even right for me to ask for forgiveness?
She gave me her heart and I broke it. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She gave me her time and I wasted it. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She told me her dreams and aspirations and I crushed them. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She gave me her body and I defiled it. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She asked for reassurance and I couldn’t give. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She asked to be heard but I didn’t listen. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She asked to be seen but I didn’t look. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She gave me chance after chance and I ruined every single one. Do I deserve forgiveness?
She said “I forgive you” but I knew she didn’t mean it, I mean how could she?
Even if she meant it from the bottom of her heart I don't think it would've helped.
Because after all I did I can't even forgive myself.
Maybe one day after the wounds I left on her finally heal, and the dreams she once told me finally come true, and the person she wanted me to be finally comes into her life, maybe then she’ll forgive me.
But until that day comes, Do I deserve forgiveness?

The poem candidly delves into the inner turmoil. It's a raw and honest exploration of the complexities of human emotions and relationships. Great work!
Only you can answer that question.
I think you will find it difficult to forgive yourself.I sense strong emotions in this write. She didn’t deserve all that. You convey the turmoil well.
