Not ready, yet?

Alan R

They tell me

All that they can't do

But look

All this while

How I survived

On all that they never did.

They tell me

All that they can't say

And look

All this while

What echoed in me

From all, that was never said.

They tell me

All that they can't be

But look

All this while

How lucky I have been

To understand their reality.

They tell me

All that they can't give

And look

All this while

How I was never

Ready to receive it anyway.
