Before the lights cut out

……..You’ve been having your way every since you was a child, a reconstruction of Abraham’s first child, cried when you met that first person who didn’t treat you like a doll, gave you sideways looks cause you was allowed to be a child, for too long; still sitting with hands crossed and singing songs, that don’t go alone with your stature, manhood you just didn’t capture, too long having lived in a mindless rapture, while losing footing on that supreme rapture that awaits us all, didn’t engage in life’s tug of war, it needed you to be foolish for awhile, so it can use you, only to wake you up with a slap at life’s end, for peace, peace that comes not from knowing, but from being, each stage of life you’ve already seen, people mistake your not wanting to fall, as being mean, they don’t understand you’re trying to keep your spirit clean, it is the sight we peer through in an attempt to hit the eye of that needle, before the lights cut out.
