Ode to The Patient

Zamir Marshall

Do you have faith?

Go ahead, throw a dime in the well that grants wishes to people who believe

she feels like Jonah when he was in the whale,

It's dark and there’s nowhere to go,

Maybe this is where she needs to be after a protracted duration of being exhausted,

she's steadily keeping her head above water in the face of her own struggle;

Staying buoyant through the storm, she knows she'll be in the place that's probably destined to be

Enjoy the peace while it last, nobody thought it would be foggy

Everyone going on with their life as if it's a regular day

Through the good and the bad

Sometimes things don't go expected, keep on going anyways, even if you keep getting rejected
