So how is that bookstore
You desperately want to ignore?
For the love you give is pure shade
For we are no longer Friends of Washoe
County Library,
We are enemies;
Your desperate pink rose won't grow
Because the crack in the concrete spills
And life is just a prison
Desperate to lock us in,
Oh how do you grow on concrete
That has no substance?
I feel like a very different person knowing you
For you never speak for yourself
You always choose to be the follower
And there you go in the mystery section
Hiding yourself in sin
And now the other women look at you
Like you are a joke,
What matters more is what you strive for;
Oh darling Jean,
Your bloody trinkets mean nothing to Janet Green
For she sees you as a joke, and nothing more
Yet I see you as a budding chance
Seeming to the glimmering of the stars
But you never loved me
And I never knew you,
For life is just a parable of wits;
And through it all
We are both strong women,
For we will survive
For nothing in life is normal except the sun,
How does it feel
Looking at a basket of old books,
When you know it isn't true?
For these old books
Carry burdens of their own,
Don't be a burden
To those who don't deserve it--
For they never deserved you
In the first place,
For beauty is in the eyes of a perfect book
Never tell your story to the weak...
Oh Jean; my darling Jean
Someday you will know your worth
Away from this place
And the death of Janet Green
Shall no longer haunt you--
Her trinkets shall burn in hell
And in hell, nobody gets cold water
One shall suffer from their thirst
I guess you will never know
The true intentions of the world.
