The Waves, The Sand

Ashley25

The cold, dark waves splashed upon the sand

The sand brittle, and soft

The waves rushing back and forth slowly

The sand staying still no where to go

The waves wishing to stay but can not

The sand longing for comfort

Mysteriously the waves vanish

Disappearing into the night

The dark, cold, cruel night

The sand dries and becomes hot yet gentle

The sand curses the night with its heat

For it took its love away

Though, the sand is gentle

For they know the waves shall return to them
