Kool-Aid

Thoughtless

Awake late at night, eyes closed, heavy, but sleep slips into the distance.

Nothing reflects the darkness. The lights are fading across the world.

Growling fills the moonless sky, which is overcast by an empty sky.

How many will ascend tonight?

She lies dead upon my bed, and I am next as the eyeless, and rotting soulless encroach.

Tomorrow is the dawn of a new day for whom?

The price of orange Kool-Aid has increased.
