BITTERSWEET

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

I did not see you from the window
Walking from my life
Farewell friend and lover
Someonelses wife.

My poor heartbeat held in hands
Of a strangers uncaring gaze
Lost and forlorn
Sullen tears to curtail.

This fading moment
You and I
Rainbows reflection
Bitter sky.

Battered heartbeat
Free of envy
Walks crooked
A shadow of yesterday
Wild like the Moors
No words left to say.
