Sun Bird

Kieron

With flaming wings, which span the sky,

she glides across the sea.

A shrinking continental perch

vibrates away the heat.

Some seedlings, nestling in a tray,

sense Mum within their leaves,

which gape on stretching necks and make

a mute cacophony.

An all-important face appears:

at last! The sun returns!

She feeds her hungry brood of shoots

with incandescent worms.

A lovely nature scene. That hungry brood waiting for mum to return with the dinner. Great visuals here, nice description. Pleased I stopped by Kieron. Have a good weekend.
