All Fall Down

Hugh

I am standing in this trench
The rumble of distant explosions
Start to come closer
Whistle in my mouth
I think of home, a girl at a party
Then we all fall down

I am standing here in this house
Music plays in a room somewhere
A man comes to me
I am shaking and scared
I wish i had a home. someone to look after me
Then we all fall down

I am standing in this shower room
Distant whistles blow
As the doors are closed
I hold my children close
I think of my husband, where is his hand
Then we all fall down

I am standing here in our bedroom
His keys in the door
Footsteps on the stairs
Heart in my mouth
I think of our wedding when we truly loved
Then we all fall down
